Dear Dog,
I have an asphalt driveway and noticed that cracks are becoming more prominent in certain areas rather than others. I don’t want to have to repave the entire driveway, and was wondering if you knew of any quick-fixes to resolve the problem.

Dear Tom,
Repairing cracks in a driveway is an easy task. First you must clean the area around the crack, as well as inside it—removing excess debris and organic materials, including weeds or grass. Purchase a high quality asphalt patching compound and asphalt sealer from your local hardware store. Load the compound into a caulking gun, fill in the cracks, and then be sure to smooth it down. With a paint brush, apply a coat of asphalt sealer to the crack and the surrounding area. In doing so, the crack will be waterproofed and be able to bond with the surface.
